 c. 1870's, Chicago, 1870. 24 x 15 cm. Broadside breakfast menu from one of the two celebrated hotels built in Chicago, after the Great Chicago Fire. Breakfast service was a large-scale event at the time including teas & coffees, rolls, several types of fish, tripe, pigs' feet, kidneys, mutton chops, omelets, eggs, various potato selections, and puddings. Separate meal times listed for "Children and Nurses". Handwritten additions plus two items crossed out. Creases discernible otherwise crisp and clean. Orig. printed broadside. Very good.
