A vast array of recipes fashionable at the time such as Whortleberry Cakes, French Chestnut Dressing, Delmonico Pudding, etc. Novel remedies such as - "For Sore Throat...Beat into the yolk of an egg fine salt; make enough to spread firmly. Apply to throat and keep it on thirty minutes, unless sooner dry." Front cover detached, taped at head of spine. Covers extremely chipped with loss, not affecting text. Interior clean.
