Includes fifty-three cocktail and refrescos with what was believed to be the first printed recipe for the Cuban Mojito, labeled here as the 'Cuban Mojo.' (First - Juan Lasa's rare 1929 Libro de Cocktail "Mojo de Ron") Blanche Zacharie de Baralt was born in New York, educated in Paris, and was the first woman to receive a doctorate from the University of Havana. Baralt later published a memoir in 1945 about her life in New York and her association with Jose Marti, a Cuban national hero. A near perfect copy of this scarce Havana imprint.
